Billy Lott

Ole Miss/New York Giants/Oakland Raiders/Boston Patriots

Billy Lott was a running back who played in both the NFL and AFL during the late 1950s and early 1960s. A standout athlete at Sumrall High School, he went on to star at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), earning All-SEC honors in 1957. Lott was selected in the 6th round of the 1958 NFL Draft by the New York Giants and later played for the Oakland Raiders and Boston Patriots. Over his professional career, he totaled 1,123 rushing yards, 919 receiving yards, and 20 touchdowns, earning recognition as one of Sumrall’s most accomplished football players.

Jordan Thomas (2014)

East Central CC/Mississippi State/Houston Texans/Birmingham Stallions

Jordan Thomas is a tight end known for his size, athleticism, and red-zone production. A product of Mississippi State, Thomas was selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, where he appeared in 27 games, totaling 22 receptions, 226 yards, and five touchdowns. He later spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, and Carolina Panthers before transitioning to spring football.

In 2023, Thomas starred in the XFL with the Orlando Guardians, recording eight catches for 148 yards and three touchdowns. He joined the Birmingham Stallions in 2024, helping the team capture the UFL Championship. During the 2025 season, Thomas emerged as a key offensive weapon, posting 12 receptions for 186 yards and three playoff touchdowns, showcasing his reliability and big-play ability. Known for his physical presence and clutch performances, Thomas remains one of the Stallions’ most dependable offensive targets.

Jones College

Caleb Bailey is an offensive lineman who plays at Jones College. A graduate of Sumrall High School, Bailey earned his school’s Tyler Heldt Award and was named to the Super 22 Team before continuing his football career with the Bobcats. The 6-foot, 288-pound lineman is part of the Jones College offensive line unit while pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.

Jonathan Nelson (2024) (Active)

East Central CC/Southern Miss

Jonathan Nelson is a wide receiver who played at East Central Community College before continuing his football career as a walk on at University of Southern Mississippi. Known for his speed and playmaking ability, Nelson developed as a receiver at the junior college level before moving on to compete for the Golden Eagles at the Division I level. Nelson will play for Southern Miss for the 2026 season.

William Hodges (2024) (Active)

Jones College/UT-San Antonio

William Hodges is a long snapper who played at Jones College before signing with University of Texas at San Antonio. A 6-foot-2, 200-pound specialist, Hodges was a reliable contributor on special teams at Jones, playing in every game of his first two seasons without recording a bad or muffed snap. He also made several tackles on coverage units and earned Distinguished Academic All-MACCC and NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors. Hodges will play at UTSA for the 2026 season.

Brodie Bass (2024) (Active)

Brodie Bass is an offensive lineman who played at Jones College before transferring to East Tennessee State University. A 6-foot-4 lineman, Bass earned All-MACCC honors while helping anchor the Bobcats’ offensive line and appeared in every game during his time at Jones.

Bass will play at ETSU for the 2026 football season.
